Danubian Rock

Fort of Petrovaradin, many times mentioned as a Gibraltar on the Danube, lays on a smaller hill, on the slopes of Fruska Gora, above right shore of the Danube river. It is facing Novi Sad, the capital and cultural and educational centre of the autonomous province of Vojvodina.
The fortifications of Petrovaradin are among the best accomplishes of European military architecture of the second half of the 18th century. They are preserved almost in a whole unit today, as a treasure of outstanding values. When you visit the place do not miss to enter the secret underground galleries and communications, 16 kilometers long.
And during June you can become part of the traditional international pop, rock and jazz music festival – EXIT.
В Белград я приехал ранним вечером, успев за день осмотреть Нови Сад – не столько сам город, нарядный и разноязыкий, сколько огромную крепость, в которой отец служил в последние месяцы Великой войны.
