Created by Otl Aicher for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Waldi the Dachshund was the first official Olympic mascot. Over two million Waldi-related items were sold around the globe.
In the Strangers' World, the mascot for the Games (also held in Munich) should be more pompous - Bavarian Lion maybe?
