She started her movie career in 1926. In the early Thirties, she worked with Erik Jan Hanussen as his 'assistant'. It was Maria Paudler who voiced the fatal prophecy which sealed the clairvoyant's fate: "I see a house... a big house... it is burning... it burns down... It is meant as a signal for a... a revolt… " Next day, the Reichstag was set on fire, and the rest is history. Real history.
Some trivia: Maria Paudler played the leading role in the first German TV film.
