Dekopan & Ilford

Dekopan film and Ilford photographic paper are mentioned in Chapter 3 of Strangers' Journey. Ilford hardly needs a special introduction, but Dekopan can puzzle even an old-school photography enthusiast. Alternative branding? No. The brand belonged to the former German susbsidiary of Kodak (located in Berlin-Köpenick) and was combined from Deutsche, Kodak, and Panchrome.

And how can we ignore the famous Ilford slogan?!

... и только двух коробок принципиально не касался. В одной были фототелеграммы, пневматички, справки печатные и рукописные: «Не пересекала», «не числится», «не состоит». В другой – семь конвертов, три продолговатых с цветными фотографиями («Настоящие цвета – это Dekopan») и четыре квадратных с черно-белыми («Все полутона – на бумаге Ilford»). Мы с Евой часто фотографировали друг друга и все что вокруг, за два с половиной месяца набралось семь пленок. Последний конверт был толще других, я не успел отдать ей второй комплект отпечатков.
