Cranes of Old

Deutsche Lufthansa, mentioned in the Prologue, has got a distinctive, eye-catching logo. The crane emblem is usually cradited to Otl Aicher, a man behind Waldi the Dachshund (and Olympic pictograms). It's true that in 1960s Herr Aicher developed a corporate style for Lufthansa but he did not invent the crane, only slightly revamped it. This stylish bird was introduced as early as in 1919!
